In Yerevan, a 41-year-old man was killed by a 64-year-old woman in a mental health-related incident. The woman had a history of hospitalizations and was living with the victim’s relatives. The situation in the apartment had become tense, and there were no disputes among the neighbors. However, they were concerned about the decision to bring the woman back home instead of keeping her in a mental health facility. Some residents described the man as having strange behavior and conflicts, which made them avoid interacting with him. On March 24, the police received information about the murder, and the investigation is ongoing.

The incident took place in Khoren Khachatryan 1, and witnesses reported that the victims were 64-year-old Lilia Gh. and her sister, 33-year-old Anna M. They were taken to the “Armenia” Medical Center, where Lilia Gh. passed away. Anna M.’s condition is considered serious. The details surrounding the incident were provided by residents of the restaurants in the Jrvarez neighborhood. Witnesses described Sargis M., the 41-year-old perpetrator, as intoxicated and he was subsequently taken to the Medical Center by authorities.

As a result of this incident, the Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts experienced partial disturbance, and a criminal investigation has been launched to gather further information.
