In the global market, the Toyota Corolla has emerged as the highest-selling car, surpassing its electric vehicle counterpart. According to Avtostat, an analytical company, this announcement was made on March 25, with reference to the focus2move project.

The new leader in the global automotive market in 2023 is the Tesla Model Y electric vehicle, which recorded sales of 1.15 million units, marking a 50.8% increase. The Toyota Corolla secured second place with sales of 1.13 million vehicles, with a slight decrease of 1.1%.

Taking the third spot is the Toyota RAV4 crossover, with sales totaling 934.9 thousand units, showing a positive growth of 5.9%. Following closely behind in fourth place are the Ford F-Series pickup trucks, selling 901.6 thousand units, indicating a 13.4% increase. The Honda CR-V clinches the fifth position with sales of 718.4 thousand units, experiencing a significant growth of 18%.

In the previous year, the Chevrolet Silverado, Toyota Camry, Hyundai Tucson, Toyota Hilux, and Ram pickup trucks were among the top ten best-selling vehicles globally.
