The increasing number of car accidents has become a national security concern. During today’s meeting on March 25th, the Head of the Standing Committee on Defense and Security Issues, Andranik Kocharyan, addressed this issue.

“Carelessness while driving, which leads to accidents caused by speeding, substance abuse, and alcohol consumption, can be extremely dangerous. We must find a solution to this problem,” he stated.

Yesterday, in the New Nork department of Yerevan, a fire broke out. Kocharyan emphasized the need to enhance citizens’ awareness of fire safety. He also reminded the committee’s request for additional government funding to implement fire prevention measures.

“Let’s take immediate action,” Kocharyan urged.
