During a meeting with journalists at AtomExpo in Sochi, Edward Martirosyan, the Director of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant (ANPP) CJSC, emphasized the high level of safety at the ANPP. He stated that as the head of the organization, he would never endanger the security of the country. Martirosyan assured that comprehensive steps are taken to address any issues that may impact security. The RA Government has implemented measures that exceed the required benchmarks, including the modernization of emergency and security systems. Martirosyan emphasized that the ANPP prioritizes security and continuously explores new technologies to ensure it. He also mentioned that the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has confirmed the high level of security at the ANPP. Martirosyan believes that qualified specialists should be the ones to express opinions on the operation of the plant, as there are no existing problems.
