Israel has reportedly banned thousands of Christian pilgrims from Jordan from entering Jerusalem to celebrate the Epiphany, according to the WAFA news agency. Simultaneously, Israeli forces are conducting military operations near Jerusalem and the outskirts of the Old City. In order to enter the holy city, Israeli authorities require permission from both Muslim and Christian Palestinians, and they have set up military checkpoints to control access to sacred sites.
