The conciliar consecration of the second Patriarch of All Armenians, Catholicos Karekin II, was held under the Patriarchal jurisdiction of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
Archimandrite T. Hovhannes Ohanyan, who was previously serving in the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church in the United States, has now taken up his duties in the Aragatsotn region since November 8 of this year.
Similarly, Archimandrite T. Hayk Kocharyan, previously the deputy director of the Department of Human Resources of the Armenian Apostolic Church in California, has also started his duties in the Aragatsotn region from November 8 of this year.
These appointments signify important changes within the Armenian Church hierarchy, as Catholicos Karekin II assumes his role as the second Patriarch of All Armenians and new Archimandrites are tasked with their duties in the Aragatsotn region. The consecration and transfers highlight the ongoing work and commitment of the Armenian Church both within Armenia and abroad.
