Minister Highlights Importance of Transportation Accessibility for “Academic City” Project: Multiple Options Discussed

We are discussing different transportation options for the “Academic City” project, as past projects have shown that transportation accessibility is crucial for success. The Minister of Education, Science, Culture, Youth, and Sport of the Republic of Armenia, Arayik Harutyunyan, emphasized this during a press conference. He mentioned that it is important for the “Academic City” to be accessible from multiple directions and transportation methods. All options are currently being considered. By June, the design of the “Academic City” will be complete, and work will commence on the road network, infrastructure, and landscape design. The first step will involve constructing a cable car from the “Sasuntsi Davit” hall of Yerevan State University to the “Academic City”. Furthermore, there are plans to connect the metro to the “Academic City” from the “Ajapnyak” station as part of the metro’s modernization. The goal is to provide transportation through various means, including buses, metro, cable cars, and more.
