In the circular garden, various old fountains have been restored and buildings have been renovated. This process is still ongoing. Mayor of Yerevan, Tigran Avinyan, spoke with NEWS.am about the restoration of the old fountains and any obstacles that may exist. The mayor stated that the restoration of the fountains has been carried out according to plan, but it is unclear who they belong to.

Tigran Avinyan also discussed his previous differences with former Mayor Hayk Marutyan regarding transportation fares. He emphasized that a fundamental issue does not require acknowledging anyone’s opinion and all actors must adhere to the rules. Avinyan then addressed the consequences of the recent protests following an incident involving the “Velia Jur” company. He stated that conflicts between tenants in certain parts of the city are the main problem, and efforts are being made to resolve these conflicts in collaboration with the company.
