“Controversy Surrounds Gegham Manukyan’s Surprising Decision to Sit Out Parliamentary Elections Despite Hidden Reasons”

Gegham Manukyan has decided not to participate in the parliamentary elections, for reasons unknown. During a discussion at the National Assembly on March 19, MP Ruben Rubinyan raised concerns about the agreement on “Between the Republic of Armenia and the European Union on the Readmission Agreement between the Republic of Armenia and the European Union.” Rubinyan pointed out that the draft does not address the voluntary return process in terms of deadlines, participants from different countries, and regulations. Rubinyan clarified that Armenia’s participation in the voluntary return process requires consent and permission from the country itself. He also accused those who question the program of trying to discredit it. Gegham Manukyan had previously resigned from the “Armenia” alliance, stating that the decision on voluntary return is not limited to Armenia and could potentially involve other countries like Turkey.
