“Snow and Blizzard Alert: Severe Weather Conditions Expected in Armenia This Week”

In the territory of the Republic, there will be snow and blizzard in various regions on the evening of March 16 and the night of the 17th. Additionally, from the evening of the 17th to the 21st, certain areas, particularly in uphill locations, can expect snowfall and blizzard during specific hours. The weather will also be active on the evening of March 19 and the night of the 20th. Wind speeds will range from 2-5 m/s, with a significant increase to 14-17 m/s on the evenings of March 17 and the 21st. Furthermore, the air temperature will drop by 2-4 degrees Celsius in the evenings of March 16 and 19.

According to NEWS.am, Yerevan will experience light snow on the evening of March 16 and the 17th, followed by heavy snowfall from the 18th to the 21st. In the capital, the temperature will range between +3 to +5 in the nights and +13 to +15 in the mornings. The provinces will have varying temperatures as outlined below:

Shirak: evenings 0-4, mornings +4+7
Kotayk Mountains: evenings 0+3, mornings +4+7
Kotayk Uplands: evenings +1+3, mornings +9+13
Sevan Lake: evenings by the shore 0-3, mornings +4+9
Lori: evenings -2+3, mornings +8+11
Tavush: evenings 0+5, mornings +9+13
Aragatsotn Mountains: evenings 0-4, mornings +4+7
Aragatsotn Uplands: evenings +1+4, mornings +9+14
Aragats: evenings +4+6, mornings +14+16
Ararat: evenings +3+5, mornings +14+16
Vayots Dzor Mountains: evenings 0-3, mornings +3+6
Vayots Dzor Uplands: evenings +4+6, mornings +14+17
Syunik Meadows: evenings +3+6, mornings +14+17
Syunik Uplands: evenings 0+2, mornings +9+12
