Armenia Prioritizes Security and Enhances Relations without Alienating Neighbors, States Foreign Affairs Committee

Armenia has officially declared that it is not engaged in any exclusive programs or collaborations with individuals and it does not base its policies on such engagements. The National Assembly of Armenia recently conducted a session led by the Foreign Affairs Committee on March 15. During this session, Ara Ayvazyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, presented updates on the implementation of the government’s program for 2021-2026 and discussed the outcomes of the 2023 budget discussions.

Ayvazyan emphasized that the efforts to strengthen relations with the Eastern Partnership and the European Union do not have an adversarial motive towards Russia. He also stated that these initiatives do not contradict Armenia’s alliance with Russia and are primarily aimed at fortifying the security of the country.+
