“Murder Investigation Underway as Armenian Authorities Uncover Disturbing Details in Brutal University Attack”

The murder of a student from the State College of Informatics in Yerevan is currently under investigation by Armenian authorities. The incident took place on March 12, 2024, at 12:15 PM, when the student was being transported from the college’s medical center to a residence on Mamikonyan street in Yerevan. The student sustained multiple injuries, including stab wounds and bleeding, and despite efforts to save their life, they passed away at 1:00 PM on the same day.

As part of the investigation, forensic and medical procedures have been conducted, revealing evidence of a physical altercation between the victim and the suspect. The suspect, a resident of Yerevan born in 2003, is believed to have attacked the victim multiple times with a knife. The altercation is reported to have occurred near the college on Mamikonyan street.

Further examination of the crime scene uncovered blood traces and other forensic evidence, in addition to witness testimonies, medical reports, and legal and judicial investigations.

Video footage from a surveillance camera near the scene identified the suspect as a 17-year-old resident of Yerevan. The suspect was apprehended several days later, having altered their appearance in an attempt to evade capture.

The investigation is still ongoing and additional efforts are being made to establish the sequence of events, determine the motives behind the crime, and gather further evidence in accordance with the Criminal Code of Armenia. On the same day, the decision was made to arrest the suspect and bring them before the Arabkir district court.

As the investigation continues, the aim is to uncover the details surrounding the crime and present the gathered evidence to the court for justice to be served.
