A 63-year-old woman from Vanadzor was found dead in her home after experiencing physical and psychological abuse. She had reported the domestic violence to the police, stating that her son had been violent towards her due to a disagreement. The investigation revealed that the 42-year-old man had been subjecting his mother to abuse, including under the influence of alcohol. Although the woman withdrew her complaint after her son promised not to repeat his actions, he later assaulted her again, resulting in his arrest. The man violated a protection order and was arrested once more. These actions are crimes under the Criminal Code of Armenia. The investigation is ongoing.
