Armenia and Hungary Strengthen Military Cooperation with Signing of Memorandum

The government has signed a “Memorandum on Military-Technical Cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Hungary” on March 7th. This document, signed in Athens by the Armenian Minister of Defense, Nikolay Dendias, and the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, Suren Papikyan, outlines the cooperation between the two countries in the field of military technology. This includes the transfer of new technologies and research on technology and military significance, as well as collaboration in the areas of development and production.

The memorandum defines the scope of cooperation between the parties, specifically in terms of enhancing national security capabilities, exchanging information and experience in the field of defense industry, conducting research in the field of defense products and their production, as well as other areas of mutual interest. Its main aim is to establish a joint Armenian-Hungarian commission, which will implement and develop cooperation. This commission will assess the effectiveness of the memorandum, monitor the progress of cooperation, provide recommendations, and approve the work schedule.

Overall, this memorandum sets the stage for a fruitful partnership between Armenia and Hungary in the field of military technology.
