On February 29th, at 16:58, the emergency headquarters of the regional administration of Ararat received information about a fire in the village of Pokr Ved in Ararat province. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia informed NEWS.am that the emergency response team and search and rescue detachment have arrived at the scene. The incident took place in the “Khosrov Forest” state reserve and the surrounding area. The fire was extinguished at 21:03 and fully put out at 21:20. Approximately 100 hectares of grassland and forest were affected, with around 50 hectares directly within the reserve. Eight firefighters took part in the firefighting operations.
