Denmark Invests Millions in Cybersecurity Collaboration with EU to Safeguard National Security

The management of Denmark has allocated 91 million crowns (13.26 million dollars) for the development of cybersecurity cooperation with the European Union and the protection of national security, according to the Ministry of Defense. The funding was provided by the Estonian and Luxembourgish heads of state in their leading role in EU IT cooperation, along with Denmark and other countries. Denmark, excluding Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Ukraine, and Estonia, has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the cybersecurity contact group of the European Union. Luxembourg and Estonia have also announced financial assistance for cybersecurity development. Terkel Lund Poulsen, Denmark’s Minister for Defense, stated that this funding is crucial for the implementation of cybersecurity cooperation with the European Union.
