“Armenian Government Set to Secure 60 Million Euro Loan for Yerevan-Isakov-Arshakunyats Highway Construction, Amidst Financial Concerns”

The Government of Armenia is reportedly seeking a loan from the Asian Development Bank to finance the construction of the Yerevan-Isakov-Arshakunyats highway, according to the “Spark” TV channel. The loan amount is set at 60 million euros, aiming to improve the infrastructure in the country.

Armenian Deputy Prime Minister, Tigran Avinyan, has emphasized the reliance on loans and debts to fund the construction of roads in Yerevan. The government intends to repay these debts by issuing government bonds and utilizing the revenues generated by state institutions and enterprises.

However, there seems to be a shortfall in budget revenues, particularly from fuel taxes, making it challenging for the Armenian Government to meet its financial obligations. This shortfall indicates the need to explore alternative revenue sources or increase the efficiency of budget management.
