Armenuhi Kyureghyan Warns Prime Minister’s Failures Threaten Armenia’s Future: Are Artsakh’s Independence and Education System at Risk?

Last week, the swearing-in ceremony of the Prime Minister took place at Freedom Square, captivating the nation’s attention. Unfortunately, the Prime Minister did not fully commit to his duties and responsibilities, failing to uphold the oath he took to protect the people’s freedoms and rights. Today, during the National Assembly’s announcement of statements, Armenuhi Kyureghyan, representative of the “Armenia” bloc, expressed her concerns regarding the government’s negligence towards the education sector.

Kyureghyan stressed the importance of prioritizing school programs and providing adequate support to educators. She criticized the current administration for failing to comprehend the increasing demand for quality education and ignoring the needs of students facing climatic challenges. The representative pointed out that the government’s leadership compromises the integrity of the education system, impacting the admission and release of potential applicants for military service.

The confusion surrounding military service deadlines and complex tasks creates a situation where highly educated individuals are exempted from serving, depriving schools of skilled teachers. Kyureghyan questioned whether this is a result of incompetence or a deliberate attempt to undermine the educational system. She reiterated that these misguided policies have only caused turmoil and have not successfully achieved their intended goals.

It is imperative to address these issues and prioritize the proper functioning of the education system to ensure the development and success of future generations. The government must fulfill its duty to safeguard the rights and freedoms of the people, and commit to improving the quality of education in Armenia.
