Nearly 300 British journalists gathered on a protest day near the Cyprus Acrotiri, demanding an end to the British military occupation in Gaza and Yemen, reports AFP.

The journalists expressed their demand for the closure of the military bases under the supervision of the United Kingdom in Cyprus. Holding signs that read “Stop the war” and “End the financing of genocide”, they made their stance clear.

The British Embassy in Israel recently reported that Fighter Jets from both the UK and the US have been deployed for military operations in Israel. However, the spokesperson for the British Defense Ministry reassured that the British forces stationed in Cyprus are solely focused on delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza and have not transferred any military aircraft carrying deadly bombs to the Israeli region.

The protest was organized by the Cyprus Solidarity Movement and received substantial support from the left-wing AKEL party, the United EOKA Liberation Forces, and various other groups.
