Armenia Takes Steps Towards Regulating Adoption of Radioactive Waste

The Minister of Nature Protection, Arpine Hovhannisyan, announced the need for regulations in the acceptance of radioactive waste during a parliamentary discussion on January 10. This discussion focused on the ratification of the “Agreement between the Republic of Armenia and the European Union on the Procedure for Accepting Individuals Engaged in Nuclear Activities without a Permit,” which was ratified on July 18, 2023.
