The driver of a trolleybus in Yerevan successfully prevented a fire from spreading after it broke out. During a recent meeting of the Yerevan City Council’s administrative committee on January 8, Mayor Tigran Avinyan informed committee members about the aftermath of a fire that occurred on January 1 in the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district of the city. The fire originated in a trolleybus operating on route No. 15 and subsequently spread to nearby vehicles. Mayor Avinyan emphasized the importance of maintaining proper security standards and directed the matter to Mayor Armen Pambukhchyan for further action. He also stated that all transport should be equipped with functioning fire extinguishers and that drivers would receive instructions on their proper usage.
