“Deadly Russian Military Exercises Devastate Ukrainian Cities: 4 Killed, 38 Injured”

Four people were killed and at least 38 were injured in Russian military exercises that took place in the Dnepropetrovsk region of Ukraine on January 8th and 9th. The cities of Novomoskovsk and Kryvyi Rih were specifically affected, with one person dying and 28 others injured, including four children. Additional casualties were reported in Khmelnytskyi, Zmiiv, and Khariv. The Ukrainian government has reported significant damage to residential areas and civilian objects, including the disruption of electronic networks in several regions and damage to a gas pipeline in Dnipro. The incident is currently under investigation by the Russian Ministry of Defense, with initial reports suggesting the use of high-precision weapons, such as the “Kinjal” hypersonic missile system.

Despite the impact on residential areas and civilian objects, the Russian military exercises did not have critical consequences for the energy system, as stated by the “Ukrenegro” magazine. However, the Ukrainian government is still assessing the extent of the damage caused.

It is worth noting that the Russian military has previously claimed that the “Kinjal” missile system has successfully neutralized anti-aircraft and anti-missile defense systems in Crimea. This indicates the advanced capabilities of the weapons used in the recent exercises.

As the incident took place on Ukrainian territory, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s arsenal is being investigated by the Russian Ministry of Defense. It is crucial for both countries to work together to determine the causes of the incident and prevent similar occurrences in the future.
