Yerevan City Hall Makes Record Revenue of 1.35 Billion Drams from Car Parking Fees

Yerevan City Hall has collected 1 billion 350 million drams from car parking fees in the central administrative district, according to Arman Jhangiryan, deputy head of the Yerevan Municipality for finance and accounting. During the Yerevan New Year’s conference on December 26, Jhangiryan announced that the expected income from parking fees in Yerevan for 2024 was initially projected to be 1 billion 200 million drams. However, the increase in fees will bring an additional 150 million drams to the municipal budget next year.

Jhangiryan further revealed that in 2022, the municipal budget received 680 million drams from parking fees, while in 2023, it is expected to receive 960 million drams. It is worth noting that the issue of increasing parking fees will be discussed at the city assembly meeting. The proposal suggests setting the fee at 160,000 drams per year for the car park in the center of the capital (Zone “A” of Yerevan), and 24,000 drams for parking outside the center (Zone “B” of Yerevan).
