Artsakh President Sahakyan Appoints Sarkis Galstyan as Head of Administration Amidst Uncertainty

The President of Artsakh, Sahakyan, has approved a statement regarding the signing of a decree on the resolution of Artsakh. In addition to this decree, he has also signed another decree appointing Sarkis Galstyan as the head of his administration. Galstyan, who currently resides in Stepanakert, will be taking on this role, although it is yet to be determined what specific actions he will undertake in these circumstances.

Vladimir Grigoryan, in an interview with “Azatutyun” (Liberty), stated that while this decree may have been signed, he is not responsible for the information regarding its functions and purposes. The details of Galstyan’s role remain unclear.

The President emphasized in his statement that every individual has the right to choose whether to stay and integrate into the administration of Azerbaijan or to leave Artsakh. The people of Artsakh, having lived freely and independently in their region for the past 32 years, have not accepted the condition of integration imposed by Baku.

Sahakyan’s statement reveals that approximately 20-30 people, including Sarkis Galstyan, have chosen to remain in Artsakh. The situation continues to develop, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
