The judge has scheduled a public criminal hearing for December 15, 2023, to question the director of “ArtNaku” LLC, A.P., in connection with the investigation of embezzlement and the illegal increase of profits through the sale of significant quantities of gold in “Sevan National Park” POAK.

On October 2, 2017, a contract was signed between the Ministry of Nature Protection and “Sevan National Park” POAK, with a declaration of the market value of 83,875,000 AMD for the cleaning of territories with an area of ​​64 hectares, as well as for the implementation of the “Sevan Lake water purification activities” program. This information was provided by NEWS.am based on the court decision.

According to the contract, the former director of “Sevan National Park” POAK, V.G., without the requirement of legal regulations on “Procurement,” concluded an agreement with the director of “ArtNaku” LLC, A.P., for the provision of transportation services, with a total value of 41,633,000 AMD.

In addition, A.P., V.G., and the directors of “Martuni” and “Noratus” divisions of “Sevan National Park” POAK, H.G. and N.P., signed an agreement in which the former transferred 17,662,988 AMD and provided boats and rafts for the transportation of tourists.

V.G. composed and submitted an official document to the Ministry of Nature Protection containing false information regarding the implementation of works in “Martuni” and “Noratus” with an area of ​​44 hectares and 20 hectares, respectively. The document claimed a total value of 76,150,000 AMD and 7,724,910 AMD for the completed works.

On December 19, 2017, 41,633,000 AMD was transferred from “Sevan National Park” POAK to “ArtNaku” LLC, in accordance with the criminal act and the account-agreement between A.P. and V.G. A.P. withdrew 38,570,000 AMD from the transferred amount and gave it to V.G. based on the previously signed agreement. On December 27, 2017, V.G. withdrew and transferred 38,570,000 AMD to A.P.

According to A.P., the criminal investigation was initiated based on Article 3, Part 3 of the 38-178 and 190-indices of the Civil Code of the Criminal Code, which concerns the embezzlement of goods by arbitrary increase in the quantities of water.

In June 2023, the judge questioned several individuals in connection with the public criminal investigation initiated in 2016 by the knowledge of the director of “Sevan National Park” POAK. Since May 10, 2017, the director of the organization, V.G., has been entrusted to implement official work, combat embezzlement, and increase the amount of water and forests. The inspection is carried out through the use of a scale (announced in the inspection).

As a result, five individuals have been questioned in connection with this public criminal investigation.
