One of the leaders of Western countries has sent multiple signals emphasizing the importance of initiating negotiations on Ukraine and the European refugee crisis, according to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. Lavrov made this announcement during a meeting with the Secretary-General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Belarusian AG. He also emphasized that no one should be allowed to label these issues according to their own agenda.

Lavrov further explained that over the past few months, a well-known Western leader has sent different signals on multiple occasions, advocating for a meeting to discuss the conflicts in Ukraine and the European refugee crisis. He mentioned that the Russian Foreign Ministry has also noticed similar “opportunities” recently, regarding both the Ukrainian conflict and the necessity of starting negotiations on the European refugee crisis.
