“Quick Response: Fire Near Yerevan Central Station Extinguished in Under an Hour”

On December 13, at 04:49, the National Crisis Management Center received information about a fire in a garage near the Central Station of Yerevan. The incident took place in the territory of the Rescue Brigade of the Yerevan Municipality. Fortunately, the fire was successfully put out within one hour.

Upon further investigation, it has been determined that the fire occurred in a non-operational building located on Isakov Street. The exact cause of the fire is still unknown.

The fire was reported at 05:18, and the response team promptly arrived and managed to extinguish the fire by 05:50. However, despite their efforts, the wooden structures of the residential building (20 sq. m) were damaged, along with a quantity of burned firewood (approximately 0.3 cu. m).

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of fire safety measures and the need for proper maintenance of buildings, especially those that are currently non-operational. Authorities should work to identify the cause of the fire to prevent similar incidents in the future.
