“A Crisis of Fairness and Impartiality: Prime Minister Pashinyan Raises Concerns over Judicial System”

The judicial system in our country has long been plagued by issues of fairness and impartiality. It often seems that decisions in favor of the powerful are prioritized, leaving ordinary citizens feeling disenfranchised. This concern was brought to light once again during the recent discussions on the 2024 budget in the RA National Assembly, where Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan highlighted the need for reform.

In his speech, Prime Minister Pashinyan acknowledged that some lawyers perceive this as a violation of judicial rights. He also acknowledged that ongoing reforms in the judiciary have sparked debates about the exercise of human rights and the potential violation of these rights through imposed restrictions. However, he raised an important question: Who should protect the rights of individuals who have been harmed by others? Isn’t it a part of our humanity to prioritize the protection of society and seek justice?

This issue is complex, and there are conflicting opinions. Some argue that increasing complaints against judicial decisions can be seen as an improvement in the protection of individuals, as it allows for greater scrutiny and ensures the truth comes to light. Others, however, remain concerned that the system still lacks the necessary fairness and impartiality.

It is crucial for our society to continue these discussions and work towards a judicial system that truly upholds the values of fairness and justice. Only then can we ensure equal protection for all individuals, regardless of their position or power.
