“Iran and Cuba Forge Stronger Ties: Sign Eight Cooperation Agreements and Joint Declaration”

Iran and Cuba have recently signed eight memorandums of understanding and cooperation agreements, covering a range of areas such as extradition and mutual legal assistance. The signing took place between Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his Cuban counterpart Miguel Diaz-Canel, who also signed a joint declaration on military and bilateral negotiations to strengthen ties. Additionally, high-ranking officials from both countries signed an additional seven memorandums of understanding in fields including knowledge and technology, healthcare, agriculture, energy and mining, connectivity, and medicine.

The visit of the Cuban President to Tehran signifies a significant step toward enhancing mutual understanding between Iran and Cuba. The extensive discussions held between the two leaders focused on the exchange of high-ranking visits between the two countries. It is noteworthy that this is the first visit by a Cuban President to Iran in the past 23 years.
