“4th International Inclusive Music Art Festival ‘Side by Side’ Celebrates Unity and Creativity on International Day of Persons with Disabilities”

The 4th International Inclusive Music Art Festival “Side by Side” took place on December 3 at the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall and National Academy of Opera and Ballet named after A. Spendiaryan, as part of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. This festival, organized by the Union of Arts and Culture of People with Disabilities, was attended by high-ranking officials such as Deputy Prime Minister Anna Hakobyan and Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports Daniel Danielyan, along with individuals from the diplomatic corps, organizations involved in inclusive education, and guests.

Daniel Danielyan, in his speech, highlighted the significance of inclusive programs and expressed gratitude to the participants and organizers for their valuable contribution in implementing these activities. He emphasized that the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports is dedicated to implementing inclusive programs across various areas, without any exceptions. The festival, named “Side by Side,” symbolizes unity and cooperation among the participants. Danielyan praised the positive atmosphere and friendly interaction among the performers, offering unique opportunities for children and participants to explore arts and culture.

The festival showcased special performances and artistic presentations by children and individuals involved in music, performing arts, and vocal performances. Collaborating with Armenian partners, experts from Russia, Germany, and France addressed current issues, challenges, and future plans in the field of arts education through stage discussions.

It is important to mention that the “Side by Side” festival received support from the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra, the Hovhannes Tumanyan Puppet Theater, the Yerevan Children’s Creativity Center, and the Autism National Foundation.
