“Million-Dram Theft Shakes Tavush Province: Bank Manager’s Garage Looted”

On November 28, a major theft occurred in the province of Tavush. The Internal Affairs Department of the RA Government informed the residents of Achajur village that between November 27 at 11:30 PM and November 28 at 8:40 AM, an unidentified individual or group stole 1,320,000 Armenian dram, 2,450 US dollars, and 120,000 Russian rubles from Hrant Ghaltakhchyan’s unlocked Audi A4 car, which was parked in his garage. This was reported by Shamshyan.com.

Hrant Ghaltakhchyan promptly reported the theft to the authorities and law enforcement agencies, providing details that the money was taken from the garage of his car.

This incident has sparked public concern in the Tavush province. The investigation into this theft is underway, and the authorities are taking active measures to clarify the circumstances of the crime. Their goal is to swiftly identify and bring the perpetrator(s) to justice.

According to information found on the website, Hrant Ghaltakhchyan has been employed as a branch manager at one of Armenia’s well-known banks, situated in the town of Ijevan, for several years.
