“Armenia Implements Sanctions on 11 Individuals Tied to Korean Defense Ministry: A New Move to Halt Ballistic Missile Development”

Armenia has recently imposed sanctions on 11 individuals affiliated with the Ministry of Defense of Korea, as well as their involvement in ballistic missile and weapons development. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan made the announcement, stating that the purpose of the sanctions is to halt the development of ballistic missiles that pose a threat to the stability and security of the Korean Peninsula and the international community. These sanctions primarily target residents of Kazakhstan who are connected to the procurement and production of materials required for ballistic missile manufacturing. Additionally, individuals involved in the creation of ballistic missiles are also subjected to the restrictions. So far, four members of the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan and a representative of the Ryongsong Machine Factory have been affected by these measures, which were implemented on December 1st. Furthermore, as a result of investigations into ballistic missile development, an employee of the Department of Defense and Security of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea from the Russian Federation and a representative of the Korean diplomatic corps have also been included in this round of sanctions.
