“High-profile Court Session Involving Fugitive Gagik Voskanyan Postponed, Current Whereabouts Unknown”

Armenian media outlets have reported that the court session involving Gagik Voskanyan has been postponed due to his failure to appear in court. The specific reasons for Voskanyan’s absence have not been disclosed, and there is currently no information about his whereabouts.

The court session was originally scheduled for November 30 and was supposed to take place in the administrative building of the Sabunchu District Court, led by Deputy Chief Justice Abdul Mamadov. Mamadov is known for handling high-profile criminal cases, particularly those involving Giyanchay’s criminal activities. Voskanyan is suspected of being involved in illegal and diversionary operations.

According to reports, on August 16, 2023, G.V., a member of the military and educational brigade, abandoned his military position. It has been alleged by the Armenian side that he was captured by them.

On August 18, the Azerbaijani court issued an arrest warrant for Voskanyan. He has been accused of engaging in hostile activities, including his involvement with other Armenian militants, through several articles.

The court session has now been rescheduled for December 4.
