“Capital City Cracks Down on Parking: Rates Skyrocket in Effort to Regulate Center”

The urban authorities in the small center of the capital city have announced plans to increase parking fees, according to Garunik Danieleian, spokesperson for the “Armenia” faction at the National Assembly. Danieleian shared the news on his Facebook page, stating that the proposed increase would raise parking fees in the center from 12,000 to 160,000 drams per year. This change would impact approximately 40 streets and one-year-term parking lots.

As parking meters were introduced and faced backlash from tenants, new methods have been implemented to address the issue. The renovation of the center has attracted both foreign and domestic investors, potentially signaling a new business opportunity that could benefit local residents.

Danieleian expressed his suspicion that, with the residents disregarding surveillance cameras and disobeying traffic rules, their existence may no longer be necessary in the future.
