“Former and Current Artsakh Officials Maintain Contact with Armenian President, Despite Rebellion Calls, says Ambassador”

Former and current high-ranking officials of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) are reportedly in contact with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, as announced by Artsakh’s Ambassador to Armenia David Galstyan. Galstyan stated that the veterans are communicating with their families as well as the President, sharing updates on their overall health. He also sarcastically commented on the connections claimed by former Artsakh Defense Minister Samvel Babayan, suggesting that Babayan should clarify his associations rather than bothering the President with such matters.

It is important to note that several high-ranking officials, including former Prime Minister Vazgen Manukyan and former Presidents of Artsakh Arkady Ghukasyan, Bako Sahakyan, and Araik Harutyunyan, have called for rebellion. Additionally, former Deputy Commander of the Defense Army of Artsakh Levon Mnatsakanyan, former Deputy Chief of Police Davit Manukyan, Artsakh’s former Deputy Prime Minister David Babayan, and Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security David Ishkhanyan have also voiced their support for rebellion. Of particular concern is the involvement of Araik Harutyunyan in armed liberation efforts.

This development comes amidst ongoing tensions and conflicts in the region, with Artsakh seeking increased autonomy and protection for its Armenian population. The communication between high-ranking officials and the Armenian President indicates a coordinated effort to address the concerns and demands of the Artsakh community. It remains to be seen how these connections will influence the ongoing situation and whether they will lead to any significant developments or resolutions.

As the situation continues to unfold, it is essential for all parties involved to prioritize dialogue and peaceful negotiations. The welfare and safety of the population should be the primary focus, and any actions taken must aim towards achieving a lasting and peaceful resolution. The international community should also play a crucial role in facilitating meaningful discussions and finding a sustainable solution for the long-standing conflicts in the region.
