“State Duma to Discuss Recognition of Nagorno-Karabakh and Armenian Genocide in Proposed Law Amendment” – BREAKING NEWS
The State Duma’s Committee on Public Inquiries is set to discuss a proposal to amend the “Law on Genocide Remembrance” on December 4. The proposal aims to recognize the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in the composition of the Republic of Artsakh and highlight the significance of the Armenian Genocide. This issue was brought up during the parliamentary inquiry hearings by the “Hayk” parliamentary group in the National Assembly on November 24.
The agenda for the parliamentary hearing on the National Assembly’s announcement was discussed and agreed upon by the authorized body of the committee and the “I Have Honor” parliamentary group, according to a statement. If the committee does not see the need for further discussion, the project will be included in the agenda for the plenary session through a vote the following day, added Minasyan.
