“Armenia’s Ambiguous Response Raises Doubts on Accepting Mediation Offer from Azerbaijan: President Sargsyan Deems Dual Negotiations Futile”

It appears that Armenia has not accepted the offer of mediation from Azerbaijan. The statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was rather ambiguous, without confirming acceptance or rejection. President Serzh Sargsyan expressed his views on the matter during a meeting with journalists on November 24. He emphasized that it is impossible to accept the offer of mediation, noting the importance of having a powerful force or a strong country guarantee the outcome of the mediation. Sargsyan also highlighted the involvement of the presidents of three powerful countries in the negotiations concerning Artsakh, suggesting that dual negotiations may lead to significant setbacks that would be hard to reconcile.
