In the RA court of cassation today, a trial by jury is taking place with the involvement of notable figures such as the former president of the RA Court of Cassation, Vahe Dolmazyan, and the former rector of the Medical University “Yerevan State Medical University,” Marta Simonyan. Additionally, the former chief accountant of the university, Larisa Parseghyan, and the director of LLC “ARP,” Roman Davtyan, are also part of this trial. The accusations relate to embezzlement and corruption offenses committed within the framework of the “Yerevan State Medical University named after Mkhitar Heratsi” foundation, as well as misappropriation of public funds and property.

It is important to highlight that Armen Ashotyan is currently under house arrest. Another individual, Mikael Narimanyan, faces charges under Article 308, Part 2 of the RA Criminal Code for non-disclosure of crimes committed by an official. Additionally, Narimanyan is accused under point 1 of Part 3 of Article 179 of the RA Criminal Code for the same offense. This corresponds to point 5 of Part 2 of Article 441 of the RA Criminal Code and point 3 of Part 3 of Article 256 of the RA Criminal Code. As a means of reconciliation, Narimanyan has opted for eliminating the consequences and writing.

Marta Simonyan, on the other hand, faces accusations under Article 38-179, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code for non-disclosure of crimes committed by an official. Moreover, Simonyan is accused under point 1 of Part 3 of Article 190, Part 1, 2 of Article 325. This corresponds to point 3 of Part 3 of Article 46-256, point 3 of Part 3 of Article 296, and part 1 of Article 457. Initially, Simonyan elected for reconciliation, which was later replaced by an elimination method.
