“Armenian Ambassador Emphasizes Role in Humanitarian Aid and Regional Peace at High-Level Black Sea Roundtable”

In Romania, Armenia’s Ambassador to the Republic, Sergey Minasyan, recently participated in a high-level roundtable discussion on the Black Sea. The event was organized by the European Union’s External Action Service (EEAS) and the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. According to NEWS.am, the discussion focused on the recent escalation of tensions in the Line of Contact of the Karabakh conflict. During the roundtable, Ambassador Minasyan highlighted Armenia’s role in providing humanitarian aid to those affected by the conflict, with support from the EU and Romania.

Ambassador Minasyan also took the opportunity to present the initiatives of the Government of Armenia aimed at promoting peace and stability in the region. This includes actively respecting and protecting the rights of ethnic minorities and advocating for the preservation of the territorial integrity of neighboring countries. He emphasized the importance of the Eastern Partnership program of the EU in promoting regional cooperation and the principles of democratic governance.

The roundtable was attended by various high-ranking officials from the EEAS, EU delegation to Armenia, as well as representatives from Bulgaria, Hungary, Georgia, Turkey, Moldova, and Ukraine. The presence of these officials signifies the significance of the discussion and the importance of finding a peaceful resolution to the conflicts in the Black Sea region.
