The United States has officially accepted the “Armenian Genocide Resolution” introduced by Senator Gary Peters on November 16th. This resolution aims to prevent the denial of the 907th article of the “Act of Assistance to the Armenian Genocide” for 2024 and 2025, which would result in Azerbaijan being excluded from American military assistance. The decision to accept the resolution was made by the American Court’s Armenian Committee, the Armenian community, its recent Congratulatory Committee, and the growing number of political and public organizations representing various nationalities in the United States.

Furthermore, President Biden has stated that his administration is considering signing an international memorandum to ensure the security and safe return of the Armenian society. This is in response to the escalating aggression from Azerbaijan, which seeks to diminish the significance of the Armenian cause.

Armen Harabardzhanian, Director of the Central Office of the American Armenian Court, expressed gratitude to Senator Peters for his leadership in introducing the resolution. He also welcomed the acceptance of the resolution by the Senate as a response to Azerbaijan’s aggression and Armenia’s new administration. Harabardzhanian stressed the importance of President Biden taking more action beyond implementing resolutions, urging him to lead the international community in ensuring the security and sustainable return of Artsakh.

The American Armenian Court, with the support of the Armenian community, continues its efforts to implement the provisions of the “907th resolution” of the “Act of Assistance to the Armenian Genocide.” They provide evidence of Azerbaijan’s ongoing aggression in Artsakh and the inadequate implementation of the resolution. Plans are underway to expand humanitarian and military assistance to Armenia in response to Azerbaijan’s aggression, and to assist in the restoration of Armenian territories occupied by Azerbaijan.
