“Turkey Takes Flight: Negotiating Purchase of 40 Eurofighter Typhoon Jets Amidst International Deal”
Turkey is currently in negotiations with the UK and Spain to purchase 40 Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft. German involvement in the deal has also been confirmed. Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar announced these negotiations during a parliamentary session, as reported by Reuters. He stated that while Turkey is not directly in contact with Germany, the UK and Spain are conducting negotiations with them. The plan, if the opportunity arises, is to acquire 40 Eurofighter Typhoon planes.
In addition to these negotiations, Turkey has approached the United States to purchase American F-16 fighters. However, the order for these aircraft has been delayed.
