President Vahagn Khachatryan Expresses Gratitude and Discusses Strong Armenia-Hungary Relations with Ambassador Tournákis

The President of the Republic, Vahagn Khachatryan, received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Armenia, Évangelos Tournakis, who has completed his diplomatic mission in our country. The press service of the President’s staff reported this to NEWS.am.

In expressing his gratitude to the ambassador, the President noted, “I want to appreciate the work that you have carried out. The efforts of the embassy and your dedication are highly valued. Throughout history, Armenia and Hungary have built warm relations and established a deep understanding of each other. Personally, I want to express my gratitude for the continuous support and assistance we receive from your country. It is important for friends and partners to stay close, and we highly value that.”

The ambassador, in return, expressed his gratitude for the reception and presented a commemorative gift. He also praised the diplomatic relations between Armenia and Hungary, highlighting the continuous development in various fields such as politics, economy, military-education, and others. The strong foundation of political dialogue was also emphasized.

During the meeting, discussions were held regarding existing joint programs and ongoing developments. President Vahagn Khachatryan emphasized Armenia’s commitment and determination to establish and develop regional cooperation. In this context, the important role of cooperation within the framework of the European Union was highly appreciated.
