“Armenian Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan Holds Fruitful Talks in Brussels, Expanding Cooperation and Strengthening Alliances”

On November 15, Armenian Foreign Affairs Minister, Ara Ayvazyan, met with Belgian Foreign Affairs Minister in Brussels. They discussed various topics such as bilateral relations, European issues, external trade, and cultural cooperation with Haghpat. During his visit to Yerevan, Ayvazyan had informal discussions with Lalbih, the Prime Minister of Belgium, about ongoing programs, regional cooperation, and territorial administration.

The representatives expressed their satisfaction with the high-level political dialogue between the two countries. They also mentioned the opening of the Belgian Embassy in Yerevan and exchanged views on economic, technological, artistic, and other fields of cooperation and collaboration.

The EU-Armenia partnership was highlighted and praised for the ongoing steps taken in this direction. Ayvazyan also met with the Prime Minister of Belgium, the former President of the European Council, the President of France, and the Chancellor of Germany during his visit to the European Council headquarters in Brussels. He emphasized the importance of international cooperation in promoting the principles of the joint statement of international partners.

Ayvazyan presented the “Chess Ambassador of Peace” project by the Government of Armenia, outlining the potential opportunities it offers for the region and beyond. The ongoing efforts of the Armenian Government to ensure the security and acceptance of the Armenian diaspora in the country were also emphasized, along with the international cooperation of partner countries in addressing the needs and rights of refugees and their resettlement. The protection of cultural heritage sites of the Armenian diaspora in Armenia, in the context of international peace and security, was also underscored.

Ayvazyan highlighted the efforts of Armenian partner organizations and institutions in the field of international relations to strengthen the protection of Armenian historical and cultural heritage, as part of joint efforts with international organizations to promote peace.
