Armenian Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan held a meeting with US Assistant Secretary of Defense Mohamad Ahmadi al-Bawardi during his visit to the United States on November 14. The Ministry of Defense of Armenia reported this information, as cited by NEWS.am.

Armenian Deputy Minister of Defense Robert Kocharyan was also present at the meeting.

The discussions primarily revolved around bolstering cooperation in the defense sector between Armenia and the United States, as well as addressing pertinent collaboration mechanisms.

Both parties expressed their readiness to jointly undertake measures aimed at enhancing defense cooperation and working on establishing the necessary frameworks for it.
