“Dilijan Food Co-op Violates Sanitary Norms, Production Activity Suspended: Ministry of Health”

The “Dashin” production cooperative, based in Dilijan, Tavush region, has recently faced scrutiny for violating sanitary norms set by relevant authorities. During routine monitoring by the Food Security Department of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia, observers noticed several violations in the premises and equipment of the cooperative’s public food object. Adequate renovation, cleaning, and disinfection were visibly lacking, and hygiene regulations were not adhered to during food storage, meat processing, and product transportation. Additionally, the food production processes and maintenance, cleaning, disinfection, waste disposal, and pest control did not meet the required standards. Furthermore, the employee of the food object failed to undergo essential periodic medical examinations.

As a result of these findings, the production activity of the public food object has been temporarily suspended to rectify the identified violations within an allotted timeframe. This action aims to ensure compliance with sanitary regulations and improve the overall quality of food production in the cooperative. The Ministry of Health is closely monitoring the situation and expects the necessary measures to be taken promptly.

The violations discovered at the “Dashin” production cooperative highlight the importance of maintaining stringent sanitary standards in the food industry. The health and well-being of consumers rely on proper handling, storage, and processing of food products. Neglecting these measures not only compromises public health but also undermines the reputation and trust in the cooperative.

The Ministry of Health emphasizes that all food production facilities must adhere to established guidelines and undergo regular inspections to safeguard public health. Efforts from both the authorities and industry players are necessary to ensure the delivery of safe and hygienic food products to consumers.

The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia will continue its vigilance in monitoring food production facilities to ensure strict compliance with sanitary norms. Swift action will be taken against any further violations that compromise public health and safety. Consumers are also encouraged to report any concerns regarding sanitary conditions at food establishments to relevant authorities.
