“Armenia Contemplates Euro Integration: Referendum to Gauge Public Sentiment, But Decision Remains Uncertain”

Armenia will be holding a referendum on euro integration, but it will not be a collective decision. The announcement was made by Armenian Minister of Defense, Armen Grigoryan, during the joint meeting of the Armenian-European “Council for Security” on November 10th.

“We are paying attention to the sentiments of the public and trying to assess whether Armenia needs the best practices that can offer security, progress, and regional peace,” he stated.

According to the Minister, Armenia firmly believes that leadership is the most effective tool in addressing internal matters. However, the country is now faced with the pressing question of whether leadership can also ensure external security. Armenia feels threatened, and it is crucial for them to receive external support in order to diversify their economy and enhance their security capabilities,” said the Armenian Minister of Defense.

These developments mark an important step in Armenia’s journey towards euro integration, as they contemplate the potential benefits and strategize on how to effectively navigate both internal and external challenges.

Stay tuned for more updates on the referendum and its impact on Armenia’s future.
