“Ambitious Goals and Transformative Ideas: Celebrating 10 Years of ‘Amberd’ and Advancing Energy Sector Development in Armenia”

The 10th anniversary of the scientific center “Amberd” of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia was celebrated today, November 10th, with a roundtable discussion titled “Projects for the Sustainable Development of Energy Sector in Armenia”. Representatives from the Government of Armenia, Central Bank, National Assembly, military officials, academic community, and students attended the event. During the opening speech, the Deputy Minister of Education, Dianna Galoyan, expressed gratitude to the participants and highlighted the achievements of “Amberd” as a leading scientific hub in the country and the region. She also acknowledged the dedicated work of the team and thanked the former and current leaders of the center.

The director of the scientific center, David Hakhverdyan, appreciated the recognition of the center’s work and presented the plan for future academic activities, emphasizing the importance of dialogues and consultations with experts. Experts from the center, Narik Karapetyan, Armen Ktopoyan, and Ani Khachatryan, shared their perspectives on various topics related to energy sector development, sustainable development in the region, and the role of poverty, equality, education, and youth in shaping the future.

The presentations were followed by a thought-provoking discussion, allowing for the exchange of ideas and opinions among the participants. The 10th anniversary celebration of “Amberd” not only highlighted the center’s achievements but also provided a platform for further collaboration and advancements in energy studies and sustainable development in Armenia.
