“US Supports Palestinian Leadership in Managing Gaza During Ongoing Conflict, Calls for Withdrawal of Israeli Occupation”

The United States believes that the national leadership of Palestine, which overlooks the West Bank of the Jordan River, will take control of Gaza after the ongoing conflict ends, according to CNN. Secretary of State Merry Lifin’s spokesperson stated that just as Palestine manages the activities of the West Bank, they should also manage Gaza for the sake of its management and security. This statement was made during a press conference held by the Palace of Representatives’ External Relations Committee, as reported by the BBC.

Regarding the issue, Lifin mentioned that the State Department is currently reviewing all these matters and discussions are expected to begin soon. The United Nations has requested Israel’s withdrawal from Gaza during the ceasefire, but Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that they will respond to this request after a certain period of time, as reported by the BBC. President Anton Blanken has a scheduled meeting with Merry Lifin on Monday and during his visit to Turkey, he emphasized the need for common sense in managing Gaza and unifying it with the West Bank, according to CNN.

The United States is calling on Israel to withdraw from Gaza’s occupation, allowing the Palestinian leadership in Gaza to take over its management, according to CNN sources.
