The restoration of the rights of the people of Mountainous Karabakh holds great importance according to international standards, as highlighted by former Chief Justice of the International Criminal Court, Luis Moreno Ocampo, in an interview with “Armenpress”. Ocampo emphasized the need for France’s support in advancing this issue, which is crucial for maintaining order and respecting the rights of the people. Additionally, he expressed the priority of resolving the problem of freeing prisoners in Azerbaijan and the challenges associated with international jurisdiction. Furthermore, Ocampo stressed the necessity for global institutions to address the complexities of international security, and urged Armenia to focus on finding a solution to its vulnerable position in the international community.

Ocampo noted that the media’s attention span for conflicts is usually limited to a short period, resulting in varying degrees of coverage. However, he stressed the urgency to address the ongoing conflict and highlighted the importance of the widespread Armenian community and the power it holds. Ocampo acknowledged the difficulties faced by the Armenian community, both in Armenia and abroad, but encouraged them to continue the fight and assured them that they are not alone in their pursuit of justice.
