“Collision on Acharian Street: Dozens of Passengers Injured in Yerevan Accident”

An accident occurred in Yerevan on November 8. Shamshyan.com reported that around 19:00, a collision took place between a Russian-registered Ford Transit and an Opel car on Acharian street.

Fortunately, there were no injuries according to preliminary information. However, approximately 20 passengers in the Ford Transit required medical assistance. Doctors promptly attended to them in the emergency room.

The incident happened in Yerevan’s administrative district and was reported to the Public Services Center of the NSS of the RA after being transmitted from the operational management center of the RA NSS.

Witnesses at the scene indicated that the Ford Transit was carrying passengers heading to Sevan. The vehicle was operated by Ara Smbatyan, a known driver on the Sevan-Yerevan route. It appeared that the Ford Transit was deviating from its regular route.

Further investigation is needed to clarify this information. If the vehicle was indeed operating without proper documentation, it raises questions about why a Russian-registered vehicle would be allowed to do so.
